Winter is in Donetsk. The entire city is covered in snow and it is beautiful! The most amusing (and terrifying) part is that under the layer of snow is a thick sheet of ice. So, while you’re tromping around in your snow boots, you’re liking to tumble if you don’t step carefully.
The steps of my school building are a broken neck waiting to happen, and the blacktop is treacherous. In order to avoid disaster, my school has taken to locking the students inside. Literally. We lock the doors and don’t let them leave until the last bell. After being caged up all day, the kids are bursting with energy to get outside and wreak havoc upon the snowy wonderland.
