Tardy Turkeys

I promised these a week or two ago, and I didn’t forget! Some 4th and 5th graders’ handiwork:

Vlad’s turkey is certain not to go hungry any time soon.

I’m thankful for my parents, my uncle, my aunt, my grandfather, my dog.

Alyona is my 5th grade artist.

I’m thankful for films, school, cars, hospital.

Tanya is a girl after my own heart – thankful for nature and birds.

I’m thankful for my mother, animals, life, nature, birds.

Kate got bonus points for using vocabulary from class.

I’m to give thanks family, school, Native American, computer, tichers.

Zhenya from 4th grade made my personal favorite. Although his use of prepositions completely changed the assignment, the result is precious and hilarious.

I am thankful to hens! football! family! Harry Potter! Michael Jackson!

very nice! It looks like your students had fun with the project. However, I must admit, some Ukrainian comments I had on the “hand turkey” did ring true: how on earth does that actually look like a turkey? We are so used to these hand turkeys, growing up making them in preschool and kindergarten, that we always see the turkey. The teachers at my school… not so much.

Good job to your students, once again!
