This post is equal to several thousand words.

Here are a few long lost pictures, illustrating the glory of my daily life in Ukraine. Enjoy.

What I Do When I Could Be Blogging (Or Lesson-planning, Since That Is Part of My Job)

Make vareniki from scratch.

A small showcase of my untapped cooking potential.

Cut off my hair.

One of these days, I will be bald accidentally.

Run on 6 in. thick ice, through ankle-deep slush. Thank you Yaktrax for keeping me from not eating shit every time I exercise.

When I wear theses, I imagine stomping peoples' faces.

Valentine’s Day Goodies

I wasn’t kidding when I said that Ukrainians took Valentine’s Day seriously.

Raking in the loot from my students.

Packages #2, 3, and 4

Speaking of loot, please admire the contents of the packages that my dad, mom, and Courtney sent me. I have the best family, really. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My father doubled my wardrobe!

I am 22 and my father dresses me. I am not ashamed.

My momma sent Valentines, candy, books and game for my kiddies! (And me!)

York Peppermint Patties make me weep with happiness.

Courtney and her creative talents created a spectacular masterpiece of a calendar!

Hopefully this suffices as an entry. Stay tuned, in the next few days I’ll be filling in the past three weeks – at least, the interesting parts, anyway.

    Your dishes are very pretty.
    Love,
    Momma

  2. dad says:

I agree, where did you find the nice dish, I need one? Nother package on the way – you should have a total of 3 enroute to you.

    Love you

    Pops

I would just like to say, as someone who has made vareniky and failed horribly, multiple times, I am incredibly impressed with what you’ve got in that picture. Beautifully done, ma’am.
